Table repair

Drop Leaf Table repair
This was a table acquired by the client and 1 of the 3 leafs was coming apart at the joint.
She wanted it repaired for use at a party.

The top was removed and the 3 pieces separated.
On the underside was the identity of the original owner,
Lt. Cornel, USMC, Camp Lejeune, NC
The broken piece was taken to the shop for repair.
It was separated, the joining sides cleaned, trued, and drilled for dowel pins.
The dowel pins were glued, inserted, and the two parts clamped.
When cured it was reassembled with new hardware.
I spoke to the client and she was very happy with the outcome.
